Oomph is proud to be a Gold Sponsor of Design 4 Drupal Boston 2016, happening this weekend, July 22 - 24, at the Microsoft N.E.R.D. Center in Cambridge, MA. Our Drupal team will join hundreds of others for sessions and discussions about design, UX, and front-end development in Drupal. Not only that, but two of our own, John Picozzi and Nichole Frazier, will be presenting talks this weekend.
John Knows Paragraphs
And he thinks you should, too. In his Saturday session, “What’s in a Name—Building Custom Layouts with Paragraphs,” John will be talking about Drupal’s Paragraphs module, breaking down the basics for beginners and intermediate users as part of D4D’s Project and Business Strategy track. From defining a paragraph to the module’s nuances, attendees will leave this informative session with a comprehensive understanding of what’s possible with Paragraphs. John will also showcase two real world examples. John Picozzi is one of our resident Drupal enthusiasts and is deeply involved in the Drupal community. He is a co-organizer of the Drupal Providence Meetup and New England Drupal Camp, and is a co-host on the weekly webcast “Talking Drupal.”
The Big Picture with Nichole
Nichole will be presenting “The Big Picture (Element): Responsive Images in Drupal 8” on Saturday. This is an in-depth look at keeping image sizes down with the new responsive images picture element in Drupal 8. Nichole will share some general tips for keeping image load times down, including how to properly save an image for best quality and the different options for lazy-loading images. Nichole’s session is part of the Front-End and Theming track and is designed for beginner users. Nichole Frazier is one of our talented front-end developers who has become a huge Drupal fan and has enjoyed learning the ins and outs of the platform. She is excited to share her experience in her first D4D talk.
