Most digital platform initiatives start with a solid business strategy that is highly customer- or user-centric. But more often than not, the design and implementation of a platform miss the mark because the customer-centric strategy turns into a feature-centric implementation. Huge amounts of effort aren’t adding up to the results you are hoping for.

Our Critical Junctures Roadmap (CJR) service is where many clients begin their relationship with Oomph. It is a very unique, impactful solution for companies wanting a holistic, objective, candid assessment of an existing digital platform, followed by key recommendations to take it to the next step and beyond. An outside strategic perspective could be just what you need to get things back on track.

This program unfolds in several stages:

First, get in touch through our contact form or give us a call. We’ll arrange a time for you to speak briefly with one of our platform experts about your situation and whether or not this program is right for you. 

Second, we will send over our kickoff materials by email and collect everything we need to get started. You’ll receive an agreement, a proposed schedule for the larger topics, an invoice, a non-disclosure agreement to ensure confidentiality regarding your platform, and an information request form. The information request form is designed to gather everything we need to run the program at the outset. In some cases, just gaining access to your platform can be a challenge due to security protocols, so we are available to assist during the information gathering period. We’ll also recommend an approach for running a survey on your platform and you will deploy the survey. This may involve some coordination with your technical team and we can guide you with that.

Once we have all the materials and confirm the survey is collecting data, we will schedule our first session.

Third, we’ll review all the materials you have sent along with survey data, then conduct the bulk of the discovery and insight-sharing. We strive to cover this in four weeks, but it can take longer depending on your schedule and how you learn. You’ll receive the agenda beforehand, but these are the modules we typically cover:

  • Benchmarking and measurement
  • Onboarding
  • Usability
  • Re-engagement

Various emphases will emerge from the benchmarking. For example, if that reveals that your platform is infrequently used, we'll fix that through re-engagement. We’ll talk about where your platform is now, where it should be, and how to get there. We will provide an outline for each session to facilitate note-taking. 

Fourth, we will provide a summary report. This will be very high-level and does not attempt to replace, elaborate on, or capture everything discussed, nor is it a “presentation.” It is the spoken advice we give and the notes you capture that hold the value in this engagement. We will also share a recording of each session to you if they are kept confidential and exclusively within your team.

Lastly, we’ll stand by as you execute on our recommendations over a period of up to three months or three significant phone calls, whichever is first. 

You will begin to see positive change very early in the process - even gathering the materials can be a learning exercise. Some of the recommended changes can happen quickly, and others may take much longer. The recommendations are a balance between the eventual positive impact vs. short term wins.

Location

Sessions are currently only held remotely. An on-site option will be available again when practical to do so.

Duration

Four weeks, plus a three month advisory period.

Scheduling

A CJR can usually be scheduled and locked in on the calendar within 3 or 4 weeks.

Deliverable

Hours of industry leading advice that follows a written agenda, very carefully and concisely stated recommendations for your note taking, and a high-level summary report.

Execution Guidance

Up to three months involving up to three significant interactions. They are agenda-driven, which means that you’ll keep a log of the questions you have and we’ll address them in a batch. We don’t count the quick phone calls or any of the email exchanges during those three months.

Participation Requirements

A single person with true accountability for the success of the platform must be present in every session. We may make recommendations on other participants but will limit to a maximum of three.

Qualification Overview

This program is ideal for companies with an existing platform that has been in operation for roughly a year or more and that has seen moderate success. It also is highly valuable to teams that are currently implementing a platform that has not yet launched. If you are considering a new platform, this particular program is not right for you, but Oomph very well could be - please get in touch. This program is highly strategic in nature, so it is not a good fit for a platform in duress that needs urgent fixes.

$40,000 fee for most platforms.

Payment Terms

$20,000 due with agreement. $20,000 invoiced upon delivery of summary report, net 15. Payments via ACH or check.
